			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Atkins diet</strong> is a dangerous diet. What is the Atkins Diet plan? It is one of the most popular <strong>low carb diet</strong> created by Dr. Atkins. Other than that, it recommends high fat and low fibre. Dr. Atkins rebukes the well-known food pyramid which gives us a suggested amount of consumption of each food group. So, why is the Atkins diet dangerous?</p>

<p>This low carb diet tells us to remove fruits from our diet and limit our consumption of starchy-vegetable. On the other hand, meat, butter and other meat products are encouraged. The Atkins diet food list tells you to get 60-75% of your calories from fat alone. The lack of fruit can heighten the risk of different types of cancer, such as the stomach cancer. How could the Atkins diet work?</p>
<p>Our bodies’ fuel is carbohydrate. When our supply of it is gone, our bodies go into the fat resferves and produces ketone. Due to this, the body continues to lose weight even with the diet filled with fat-laden food.</p>
<p>This is the core reason why the Atkins diet is so popular. People see it as a simple, painless diet that will allow them to eat their favourite rich. The price for this is substantial: chronic ketosis. The kidneys are stressed during the diet and will age very quickly. The dangers might not be detected immediately since the blood test that monitor functions of kidney do not detect anything until more than 80% of the kidneys are damaged.  The kidney filters our blood and urine and is essential to our survival.</p>
<p>The theory behind the diet is seriously flawed and causes increased risks of cancer, kidney damage and bone loss. It has no benefit and is nutritionally incomplete. No one should go on this diet, especially those with any sickness, disease, in his or her teens or any pregnant women.</p>
<p>Dieting could benefit those who are overweight, but not this particular fad diet. Fad diets come and go but their adverse effect of the body can be irreversible. If you need to lose weight, consult your doctor first and ask for options. There are many dieting options available now, but remember to choose a moderate diet that include all the food groups. They might not work as fast, or appear to work as “well” as the Atkins diet, but they are much better long-term. In short, to reap the real award from dieting, avoid Atkins diet and choose a healthier diet.</p>
